Pintofields Andante Prima, otherwise known as Prudance or Pru is a bay and white 2003 TBXDutch Warmblood mare that has pink papers with the AES.Prudance stands around 16.2hh and is a quality elegant mare, with very good conformation and moves like a dream! Differently a mare that turns heads and is very nicely marked with a distinctive P marking just below her withers on her offside.

Previous to me having her, she was put in foal to Royal Hit (Oldenburg) in July 2006 and as a result produced a stunning colt Pintofields Regal Hit or Percy who was born on 06/06/07.

Prudance was then graded with the BWBS with foal at foot and went into the Main Stud Book narrowly missing out on Select. She will also go into the Main Stud Book for the SHB.

Percy has been shown at county level and has been consistently placed. As a yearling he was 3rd at the National Hunt show and 2nd at Kent County, both sport horse classes. As a two year old he was 3rd at Kent County in the sport horse class and 3 rd at the New Forest County show in the hunter class. The picture below was as a yearling at the National Hunt show.

After Percy was weaned, Prudance was then backed and competed in her first Afilliated Prelims, which she done extremely well in and was placed every time out.

In the spring of 2009 she was shown in her first Ridden Coloured Classes which were Qualifiers for RIHS and HOYS, she was placed both times.

Unfortunately she incurred a minor injury and is having time off from ridden work, so I have brought her to breed from and maybe do some in hand coloured classes this show season with her.

She is going in foal to Sambertino for a 2011 foal which I think will be a fantastic match and cant wait to see the result!

Her sire Andes 1989 is an upstanding, big moving, versatile stallion that stands at 16.3hh and has 9” of bone. Andes is a Life Approved Premium Graded Throughbred Stallion with the SHB GB.He is a highly rated sport horse stallion that is producing Champion Show Hunters, Young Event Horses, Dressage horses and Show jumpers.

Sadly Andes is now deceased but is still available using frozen semen so he can still produce quality young stock even after he has gone.

Her sire AndesHe was:

  • Best Young HIS Stallion
  • Reserve Champion King George V Gold Cup
  • Reserve Champion TB Stallion (SHB Grading)

One of his current off spring is Red Andes who won the middleweights at the RIHS as a 5 year old in 2008 and was the overall Supreme. He is said to be a truly wonderful, faultless horse and has an impeccable record.

Her dam Iedante 1990 was imported in 1996 and went to the known Pintofields stud that is now closed. Before coming here Iedante completed her 100 day mare performance test at only 3 and a half years old and received her Keur statues. She then produced two solid colour foals to Olympic Ferro and Haarlem who both gained the Keur status also due to their quality.

As a 6 year old she started her competition career and quickly Qualified for the Novice Winter Semi-Finals where she was 2nd in her division and came 7th at the Finals held at Addington in April 1997. She was then 2nd at the Eastern regional elementary Semi-Finals and part qualified for the winters, in 1998 a training injury caused a short break. In 1999 Ideante qualified for Wembley Coloured Horse Finals and for the Winter Dressage Championships at Medium Level.

She was a horse that was said to go all the way but due to her rider starting a family her competition career was cut short but she gained 153 British Dressage points.

Iedante was then covered by Andes in 2002 and she produced the stunning Andante Prima (Prudance). They described her as a future top class show riding horse, has the movement for National level dressage and will be a valuable broodmare in the future. Iedante has also had more quality foals since.

Her Great Grand sire Samber 1976 competed to Grand Prix level dressage, as well as jumping at Grade A & is the sire of many approved stallions. Known as the stallion with the golden temperament he gained a 10 for temperament on his performance test. He is one of the best know coloured Dressage stallions and is very sought after in bloodlines of that type.
